... the ferry to bainbridge

bainbridge

i don't just love bainbridge island because it's my hometown. i love it because it's a truly beautiful place. sometimes i forget how lucky i was to grow up somewhere so lovely, which also means i sometimes end up taking for granted the 30-minute ferry ride from seattle to bainbridge.

q: how cool is the ferry?

a: so cool.

i had my first kiss over there on the very tip of wing point. it's nice to be reminded of that kiss every time the ferry glides into eagle harbor.

  1. So pretty!! I have always thought that the Pacific NW has a lot of natural beauty, and this captures it well.

  2. I'm flipping through your blog posts and noticed your from Bainbridge! I grew up in Poulsbo, just moved back east from there and miss it way too much. Hopefully we'll be back there soon!

  3. wow, allison, that is so cool you are from poulsbo! we were practically neighbors. i have such fond memories of poulsbo. do you remember lauren's wild and wooly? that's where i took my first knitting class. and of course, there's sluys bakery (maple bars!). hope you do end up making your way back here eventually... there's really no place better than the kitsap peninsula or the puget sound!
